See Jane subvert the structures of patriarchal dominance. Subvert, Jane, subvert!

I can't help but wonder if Wonkette has stumbled upon the source of Greg Palast's latest scoop -- a file apparently created to support Republican voter intimidation in Florida. I've pasted the relevant email from the brilliant parody site "georgewbush.org" below, in case they get intimidated themselves. At the moment, the original (scroll down) is in their "Dead Letter Office", which consists of authentic GOP emails intended for "georgewbush.com".

Other than voter intimidation, I can't imagine what purpose a "caging" database could serve. If anybody has an innocent explanation, I'd love to hear it. I can always use a good laugh. Don't try to say it's all a fake, though; Tim Griffin (just for starters) is easy enough to find, though he does say "Generally speaking, we don't generally speak about what we do." I should think they don't.

...total collective word count to date

My mountain man can't hardly wait to start chasing the 50,000 word mark. Less ambitious, I've been visiting the NaNoSite, which will at the least encourage me to add "NaNo" to every concept that will hold still. Ye who read these words, beware!

Hmmmm. Is this poaching on Blogger's part, or is it community service? Actually the NaNoLinks are reasonably prominent; I was two clicks from NaNoFinancing.

Best Donor Premium EVER: gifts over 1k entitle the giver to "one nagging/encouraging phone call during November about your novel from Chris Baty (this call is transferable to any NaNoWriMo participant should you not be interested in having the nagging directed at you personally.)"

What thrills me about the whole concept is that NaNoWriMo is driven by the combined forces of competition and cooperation. Is there even a word for that?

In any event, best wishes to all!

Also: this is priceless.
